Born in India, raised in Dubai, and educated in a British school, Food Network star and cookbook author Aarti Sequeira grew up against a rich, varied tapestry of food cultures — from her mother's homemade curries and flatbreads to the spit-roasted shawarmas her family enjoyed every Friday. That multicultural upbringing became the foundation of a celebrated culinary career defined by bold spices, global influences, and the belief that food is, above all, a story of connection.
For this special four-course dinner at Artisan, Aarti brings her signature global palate to the table in collaboration with Executive Chef Sarah Bobier, whose ingredient-driven cooking and deep ties to northern Michigan's farms and producers provide the perfect local counterpoint to Aarti's worldly sensibility. The result is a tasting menu that travels — course by course — through the flavors and influences that have shaped one of Food Network's most beloved personalities, each dish thoughtfully paired with locally crafted northern Michigan wines.
