This walking tour of Anavery Fine Foods showcases what regenerative, multi-species farming looks like in Northern Michigan. Tickets include a guided pasture tour followed by a charcuterie, cheese, and wine sampling sourced entirely from local producers.
Your tour begins in the pastures, where you'll walk among grazing cattle and sheep and free-ranging layer hens, learning how rotational grazing and multi-species management build healthier soil and healthier animals. From there, you'll visit the heart of the operation: the Red Wattle hogs, a rare heritage breed prized by discerning eaters, and hear how their care shapes the flavor of everything they become—including the charcuterie you'll taste at the end of the tour.
The afternoon wraps up back at the farm's gathering area with a charcuterie, cheese, and wine sampling featuring pepperoni, salami, and 'nduja from Anavery’s hogs, paired with local cheeses and wine.
Anavery recommends attendees wear shoes suitable for walking over uneven pasture terrain and dress for the weather. Reserved accessible parking is available; please note the tour route crosses working pasture and is not wheelchair accessible.
